Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to do this course face to face?
No you don't.
As much as I love training therapists in-person I know its not always easy to fit a full day in due to time, location, child care etc.
Depending on your learning styles you can choose to do this course either:
- fully in-person 2 days with home study,
- as blended learning with in-person training 1 day and home study,
- via blended online training with 2 LIVE ZOOM support sessions with Sarah,
- fully online with self-guided learning (ideal for refreshing or upskilling your current facial skills)
Please check your insurance requirements before purchasing as refunds cannot be issued.
In-person training is offered in Cleethorpes, N E Lincolnshire.
Are there any pre-requisites for this course?
YES.
You will need to hold a Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology Certificate or equivalent, either individually or as part of another therapy Certificate.
You will be required to upload a copy to the portal as evidence to receive your Certificate.
Can I get insurance with this course?
Yes you can.
This course is Accredited by International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM) and the AOR (Association of Reflexologists) for blended online learning.
And with IPHM, AOR and Professional Beauty Direct for in-person face to face training.
Check with your insurance provider before purchasing this course.
Refunds cannot be issued once you have purchased the course.
Do I need lots of facial products to start this course?
No you don't.
You will need a minimum of one facial cleanser, toner, exfoliator, facial oil, massage oil, face mask, face serum and moisturiser to be able to start practicing the facial techniques.
I use and recommend Neal's Yard Remedies Organic Products in all of my treatments but you can use whatever brand you feel aligned to.

Do I need to complete an observation session if I am doing the Blended Online Course?
Yes.
If you are new to Facials you will need to attend the two LIVE Zoom Coaching, Support and Observation Sessions for me to access your techniques before issuing your Practitioner Certificate.
To receive your Practitioner Certificate you will need to join the Zoom Observation Session with Sarah when you have completed your 3 Case Studies. These will be offered once a month for you to book and join.
How do I join the live Zoom Practical session?
*The live Zoom practical session are in two parts.
Part One - the Coaching session for Sarah to guide you through the treatment and answer any question you may have.
Part Two - the Observation session for Sarah to observe you completing a treatment once you have completed all the theory modules and your case study practice.
Part One will run on the first Monday of the month (except Bank Holidays)
Part Two will run on the third Tuesday of the month.
Times will vary and will be available three months in advance.

Will I get a Certificate if I am doing the Self-guided Fully Online option?
Once you have worked through all of the online modules, answered the questions and followed the videos you will be able to request your Certificate of Completion for the Online Course.
It is great for recording CPD hours if you are already a trained Therapist.
This option is ideal if you already hold a Facial Certificate and are looking to refresh your skills due to taking time out from the industry or wanting to start offering facials to your clients again but need to build your confidence.
If you are wanting to gain the Practitioner Certificate you will need to complete the course either in-person or via the Blended Online course and complete the 2 LIVE Zoom sessions with Sarah.
Make sure you choose the right option for you.
Can I offer aesthetics treatments with this course?
No.
You would need to complete a recognised government regulated qualification such as NVQ, VTCT, City & Guilds or Focus Awards at a minimum Level 3/4 to start with.
Please check regulation requirements for being able to safely offer advanced aesthetic procedures.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
No.
Unfortunately refunds can not be issued once access to the online student portal has been granted as you will have access to all of the training materials and videos.
